PARAGLIDING

With a passion for flying, Stef Juncker launched Parapax in 1999. Parapax is the market leader and largest, oldest tandem paragliding company on the African continent.

Our team of highly experienced and internationally accredited pilots and managers make this dynamic company a success. The crew always put safety first, standing well out amongst our competitors.

Today Stef has over 17 000 accident-free flights and prides himself on running one of the world’s best tandem paragliding businesses.

WHAT IS PARAGLIDING?

Paragliding is the simplest form of flight. Unpowered, foot-launched and sensational! Thermals and/or dynamic lift (a wind of 2 to 30km/hr) keep us aloft.

Our gliders have been developed so well over time that we are now able to fly well nearly 600km in a straight line in a single flight (over 11 hours in the air)! Needless to say that the safety of our canopies has also followed this trend.

Today a light “hike and fly” glider, harness and reserve parachute setup can weigh under 3kg!

Tandem paragliding flights involve our “students” (passengers) being securely strapped into a comfortable harness in front of the pilot.
